ALL ABOUT TANTASQUA MUN
WHAT IS Model United Nations?
Model United Nations is an extracurricular club where students role-play as delegates from select countries to participate in debates over global issues. Like a sports team, other schools also have MUN clubs. The main goal of the club is to enter conferences with other schools to discuss these issues with them.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
In MUN students learn about how international policy is made and conducted. They also end up learning a lot of history and interesting facts about their country and topic of discussion. Debates are conducted in similar ways to that of a courtroom debate, so they learn what is called parliamentary procedure. Parliamentary procedure is the rules for speaking that are used in the real United Nations. Just like most other clubs, students will also learn how to communicate and work with a team to accomplish a goal. Usually at conferences one must work with kids that may be from different schools in order to craft a resolution.
